Actions for Week of December 13, 2020
Make those calls, send those texts, and stay tuned for a special day of action
SCHUMER OUTREACH/JANUARY DAY OF ACTION
We had a NY Indivisible chat to discuss plans for a day of action after the GA election. This is designed to push for DC/Puerto Rico statehood, end voter suppression laws, rebalance the Supreme Court, and limit the influence of lobbyists (full details here: https://indivisible.org/resource/why-democracy-reform-matters)
Ideas so far:
a statewide email/call drive and social media blitz
limited gatherings outside Schumer’s offices (with signs or costumes)
virtual event, live streamed
Twitter posting fest, possibly with videos saying why we want a particular change
If you’ve got more ideas, please reply and send them along!
New York will be redistricting this year, and the budget includes money fo fund the work. Except Cuomo hasn’t released the money. Let’s contact him and tell him to act! Governor Cuomo: (518) 474- 8390 (Choose option 1 to leave a message)

And, while you’re at it, tell him to sign the automatic voter registration bill that’s been sitting on his desk for months!

INDIVISIBLE NATIONAL CALL-A-THON
January 4, 2020
6 PM
We'll be getting together for a big get out the vote campaign for Georgia. The event is currently scheduled to start at 6, but Sarah Reeske (our state organizer) is checking to see if we can start earlier to get the training in early and leave more time for calls. We'll pass on more details as we have them. Stay tuned.
