Actions for Week of September 13, 2020
Call, write, and text to dump Trump, ditch Mitch, and save democracy!
Ramping up for the election home stretch! Since we can’t talk to voters face-to-face, the next best thing is phone calls and texts. We’re a bit under halfway to our goal of 4,000 contacts. Let’s keep it up!
It’s a text, it’s a call, it’s the new signup form! The all-purpose one-stop way to dump Trump, ditch Mitch, and save democracy!
The full calendar is here.
ROCHESTER PROTESTS
Daniel Prude was murdered by police with a hood that suffocated him. Protestors in Rochester are marching to demand justice. They are being met with pepper spray, violence, tear gas and the sort of force that belongs in a war zone not a United States city.
Contact Governor Cuomo, the NY Attorney General, and our Senators and tell them to demand that this stops. This would also be a good time to insist that they end qualified immunity.

We’re going to have a NY to NY texting campaign! This will support candidates like AOC, Antonio Delgado, Nancy Goroff, and Jackie Gordon. Jackie is running to replace retiring Republican Peter King. Nancy is running against Lee Zeldin (who is awful).
Thanks to our upstate organizer Sarah Reeske for setting this up!

This kid rocks!! And David Grohl thought so too
A few soothing minutes with the violin
On a more traditional note (ahem) It doesn’t get much better than the Bach Double Concerto with Itzhak Perlman and Isaac Stern (2nd link). Think of it as a mini spa treatment for your nerves. And do listen to the other excerpts too.
Tiny Dancer
Restoring Degas’s dancer at the Met Museum
Sealed ancient Egyptian coffins found
There are at least 13 of them, and they are so well preserved you can still see some of the original paint.
