ALL WEEK
5-Day Call Challenge
If your New Year's resolutions didn't include calling your elected officials on a weekly basis ... better a week late than never! Get off to a good start by joining Indivisible Nation BK's 5-Day Call Challenge. From the organizers:
"The legislative session in Albany starts this WEDNESDAY. We’re challenging all our members to call their state representatives and Governor Cuomo EVERY DAY this week to share our priorities. State senators and assemblymembers typically get very few constituent calls, so even one call on one issue can make a HUGE impact. All you need is five minutes a day for the next five days and we can get our state representatives fired up for change! "

Indivisible Upper East Side Monthly Meeting
Unitarian Church of All Souls
7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The guest speaker at our January meeting will be discussing housing reform in New York City. All rent laws are expiring on June 15, 2019, making this the right time to fight for change in the newly Democratic-controlled state senate. Issues include protection of rent stabilization and closing loopholes that allow landlords to benefit from vacant properties.
