A trial with no witnesses. A president without shame.
Remember when Nixon was under investigation? If you do, you'll also recall that GOP Senators went to the White House and told him to step down. He had some shame. They were patriots. Not this time.
The current Senate cares more about money and power and mean tweets than anything else. They’ve betrayed the country.
Are you mad? So are we.
But we can do something about it.
Forward this email to your friends. Organize. Fundraise. Support local ads and local organizers. Get out the vote. Send the cowards packing.
Here’s what we can do. At any time.
Don't just get mad. Get even. Indivisible is organizing a payback campaign. Money for newspaper ads (you pick where), boosting local groups and Indivisibles in key states (like Kentucky and Colorado), canvassing, and get out the vote drives.
Send postcards to progressive voters in other states. You can do this at home or at a postcard party (see below). The postcards urge people to vote all blue, remind them of local elections, and advise them to sign up to vote by mail. More participation and more more blue voting means more blue wins.
3. Raucous Rural Calls
Indivisible KY is fighting hard to get rid of Moscow Mitch. They need our help! They are organizing, recruiting, canvassing, training volunteers, and putting up billboards. One call a month, on the last Wednesday of the month. Recording of the last one is here and the notes here! Sign up at the link for the next one (tFebruary 26). (Do be mindful that they know their area best).
4. Support Indivisible KY
Calls not your thing? Sign up to get grassroots information directly from the source. Learn exactly what they are doing and what help they need to ditch Mitch for someone else. Hint, it’s NOT Amy McGrath.
Here's why. Indivisible Kentucky organized an event for Senate candidates. And she didn't bother to show up. McGrath lost in the bluest part of their state, doesn’t think abortion rights are an issue, and said she would have voted for Brett Kavanaugh. They are excited about Democratic candidates such as Charles Booker and Mike Broihier.
5. Adopt a Kentucky Indivisible rural billboard
Get the message directly to KY voters. Help fund a billboard that tells the truth about Mitch McConell and how his policies hurt KY (and the rest of us). Contact Leslie at lmccolgin@gmail.com (Four Rivers Indivisible in Paducah) or Bob at mrrfmoore@windstream.net (Lake Cumberland in Somerset).
