(1) Call Governor Cuomo and Demand Action
Following last week's successful call relay to New York State Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, local activist chapters have organized a call relay to Governor Cuomo. The state budget is due April 1 and we need to be sure that progressive causes such as campaign finance reform and early voting are funded in it.

All background information, a script, and the phone number are provided on the sign-up sheet.
Choose a time for your call and enter your name, organization name, and zip code. (You don't have to list your email address if you don't want to.)
Make your call at the time you selected.
Go back to the form and add a note about who you spoke to and how that person received your message.
That's it! You've done your activism for today. Good job

A majority of Senators have signed on, and now it’s time to make sure it gets brought to the floor for a vote. Attend this training session in order to participate in New Sanctuary Coalition's Tuesday immigration clinics. The clinics are staffed by non-attorney volunteers and supervised by experienced immigrant-rights organizers and immigration lawyers who help people identify ways to get relief from deportation and detention; access other immigration-related benefits; understand their rights; apply for asylum; prepare for court; and more. Spanish speakers willing to serve as translators are always needed.
