ADAPT fights for disability rights. Its activists were at the forefront of the fight to save the Affordable Care Act, organizing and participating in demonstrations and sit-ins. During a die-in outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office, 43 people were arrested, including individuals who were lifted out of their wheelchairs by officers.
